Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body

An Education Program by the Alzheimer’s Association. For centuries we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your bran and body healthy as you age. Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.

This program is free and open to the public. Registration suggested. Register online or by calling (860) 349-9544, ext. 1.

Readers Theater: “Ben Butler”

Readers Theater returns to the Durham Public Library to perform BEN BUTLER by Richard Strand.
A combination of comedy, biography, and historical drama, Ben Butler takes a thought-provoking look at a key decision in the Civil War and explores the timeless questions surrounding social conscience, individual responsibility, and the politics of race in America.
