Minigolf Tickets On Sale Now!

PALS: The Friends of the Durham Public Library will be hosting a new and exciting library fundraiser this year — minigolf in the Library! The whole Library will be turned into a fun and festive minigolf course for your golfing pleasure. The event is being sponsored by investment services company Johnson Brunetti and each of the 18 holes will be sponsored by businesses and organizations from the Durham community. See below for a full list of event sponsors.

Saturday, March 2 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.: Adult Evening

Tickets are $25 per person. Includes two drink tickets for beer & wine; all guests must be at least 21 years old. Light refreshments will be served. Note: There are no tee times; drop in any time between 5:00 and 9:00 p.m.

Sunday, March 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Family Day

Tickets are $5 per person for ages 5 and up or a max of $20 for a family. Children 4 and under are free. Ticket includes minigolf, snacks, and crafts. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Note: There are no tee times; drop in any time between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Have you ever come home from the Farmer’s Market with a pile of beautiful produce and no idea what to make with your bounty? We can help! Registered Dietitian Katie Shepherd will show you how easy and satisfying it is to practice “farm-to-table cooking” in your own home. Using produce from Durham’s own Farmer’s Market, she will demonstrate how to put together a healthy dinner for your family.

Teen Candy Making

Tuesday 2/14 at 6:30PM

Join us for an evening of candy making! We will be experimenting with different molds and fillings. Registration required. Limit 15. Open to Teens in grades 6 and up. Registration opens 2/1.

Perler Bead Craft

Teens and T weens in Grades 5 & up can join us at the library to make some Perler bead coasters! These beads  can make be made in any design and look especially great using 8-bit video game items & characters as a template or geometric designs. Registration encouraged but not required! Sign up begins 12/28/16. Register below or call the library!

Anime Club in the Teen Lounge

On the first Friday of each month the Library will be hosting Anime Club in the Teen Lounge after school.  There will be anime streamed the entire 2.5 hours, with requests taken from you!  There will also be Anime related crafts, snacks, and/or games!  No registration required.
