Book Lover’s Circle

On Wednesday, Oct. 3, we will discuss The Ministry of Utmost Happiness by Arundhati Roy. The discussion will be held at 7:30  in the Activity Room of the Library. All are welcome.

Thursday Matinees

The Durham Public Library hosts a movie matinee every Thursday at 1:30pm. This film series is free and open to the public. Please note that for movies rated R, only individuals age 18 & over are permitted to attend. Viewer discretion is advised.

Anime Club in the Teen Lounge

On the first Friday of each month the Library will be hosting Anime Club in the Teen Lounge after school.  There will be anime streamed the entire 2.5 hours, with requests taken from you!  There will also be Anime related crafts, snacks, and/or games!  No registration required.

Online Summer Reading for Teens & Adults

Welcome to Summer Reading!

Young adults entering grades 7-12 and adult patrons are invited to participate in our Summer Reading Program via Wandoo Reader, an online reading tracker.  Patrons who participated last year will remember it!

Earn 1 raffle ticket for every 60 minutes of reading logged, earn 1 raffle ticket for every challenge completed, and Young Adults can earn 1 raffle ticket for every program they attend.

The Summer Reading Program begins on Monday, June 27th and runs through to Saturday, August 6th.

Minecraft Club

Crafters, Creepers, and Master Builders are invited to the Minecraft Club.  Chat with other players, work together to build great things, or just play on the Library’s own server.
